A Life Between Two Countries, And All In Between

Chirping at Three Little Birds Coffee, Desa ParkCity

This morning, I brought mum to The Central Park, Desa ParkCity for exercise.

I read that a little exercise, such as brisk walking, at least 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, goes a long way to lowering high blood pressure.

Of course, for her, it is more like a 30-minute exercise, once out of the blue moon. Sorry, mum.

If you missed my earlier post on this little green oasis, the link is here.

Whilst she exercise, I took the opportunity to check out Three Little Birds Coffee, recommended by my 11-year old niece.

Breakfast with a view

What a perfect location, facing The Central Park itself. Mum can exercise at ease, since I am visible from the park. Yeah, senior citizens need assurance all the time.

Morning brekkie

I am not a morning person by nature. I had my rare breakfast, put on my thinking cap for my two tasks in hand. Brain juices flow easily, fueled by a cuppa of latte and a sandwich, infused with fresh air and greenery.

I was pleasantly surprised that they have a wide range of goodies, sourced from various artisan independents, including Tommy le Baker. They also have The Last Polka ice cream.

I ordered a Steak Sandwich (RM 13), one of my favorite’s ribeye sandwich on sourdough, from Tommy le Baker. It was quite a let down, it doesn’t taste as good / fresh as the one I had at Tommy le Baker. I was told the bakery delivers their goodies once every two days. Thumbs down.

I enjoyed their latte (RM 12) and will definitely come back again for it.

Total damage: RM 25 for breakfast for one + RM 1.50 for one-hour parking at Desa ParkCity.

Not Your Typical Tourist

A passionate advocate for independent and solo travel, I traded life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Thailand. This shift is all thanks to a "chance encounter" in 2009 that led to marriage with my Thai husband. I currently split my time between Bangkok (my main base) and Kuala Lumpur for family—documenting the unique blend of a Malaysian life lived abroad.

Find this place a bit pricey. Went there once for coffee and cake.

Maybe because they do not cook their own food, but source from suppliers
