Je Tuk Pad Thai & Hoy Tod: The Best 50 Baht Meal in Lat Phrao

Je Tuk Pad Thai Oyster Omelette (เจ๊ตุ๊ก ผัดไทย หอยทอด) is one of those local eateries you wish someone shared the secret to sooner. Tucked away in Lat Phrao (across from Central Ladprao), this stall consistently draws a steady crowd of locals, proving, as my husband commented, it must be good.

I’ve been here twice, and what keeps pulling me back is the simple perfection of the Hoy Tod (Oyster Omelette). This isn’t the wet, sticky version you find everywhere; this is the glorious, crispy kind! The edges are perfectly fried to a golden crisp, offering a texture that elevates this dish far above the competition. If you appreciate texture in your street food, this is the spot.

Unbeatable Value

The pricing here is probably another reason why Je Tuk is a neighborhood favourite:

DishPrice (Baht)
Regular Pad Thai or Hoy Tod50
Fresh Shrimp Pad Thai or Hoy Tod70
Special/ Mixed Seafood Pad Thai or Hoy Tod80
Fresh Shrimp Special Pad Thai or Hoy Tod80

It’s refreshing to find such quality at such a fantastic price point. While sitting at the first table, you can hear the cook working through a steady stream of customized orders—no bean sprouts, no vege, no tofu—it’s a testament to truly customized, cooked-to-order street food.

The Verdict on Pad Thai

While I haven’t personally tried the Pad Thai (I’m usually too focused on the crispy Hoy Tod!), the constant stream of customers ordering it and the enticing look of the noodles prove it’s equally beloved. This hidden gem is a worthwhile stop if you’re heading to the nearby Central Ladprao or the Liabduan Danneramit Night market.

Not Your Typical Tourist

A passionate advocate for independent and solo travel, I traded life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Thailand. This shift is all thanks to a "chance encounter" in 2009 that led to marriage with my Thai husband. I currently split my time between Bangkok (my main base) and Kuala Lumpur for family—documenting the unique blend of a Malaysian life lived abroad.
