Giving Suan Lum Night Bazaar A Second Chance
The NEW Suan Lum Night Bazaar didn’t wow me on my first visit in early Jan here. The OLD Suan Lum Night Bazaar at Lumpini, left too big footprints, for the new one to play catch-up.
I gave it another go, and visited the market again last Sunday evening.

My second visit coincided with a Buddhist ceremony. Not exactly sure what was it about, as didn’t fully understand their announcement in Thai. It was packed with Thai people.
I maneuvered my way through the crowd, and headed to the market itself. There are quite a fair bit of stalls, both food and shopping.

Shopping-wise, there are many cheap clothes – as cheap as 50-100 baht.

I find that their layout still needs lots of improvements. As the stalls are outside the Suan Lum building, they need to manage the traffic flow. Cars should not be allowed, when people are walking around.
Most interesting discovery at the market would be the barber service!

Boom Boom Barber Shop, provides hair cut and hair tattoo service. 300 baht / 250 baht (for teens) for hair cut, and 300 baht for hair tattoo.

Or vintage hair cut anyone? They only charge 250 baht!
My last words: If your itinerary is packed, can skip Suan Lum for the time being. That is, unless if you want a hair cut or hair tattoo!
