Onn Kee Roast Duck

Kepong is famous for its roast duck stalls, and Onn Kee is one of the more popular stalls. On good days, you have to wait for your turn, and today is just one of those days. The owner was apologetic as she tried to rush out all orders as fast as she could … two thumbs up to that.

I paid RM 6.80 for a single serving of roast duck with rice. I wasn’t awe by it though. I thought that the meat is not tender, salty and juicy enough. The meat is a bit too tough for my liking .. but still, it is better than the sauce-laden version I normally find in Thailand.

Not Your Typical Tourist

A passionate advocate for independent and solo travel, I traded life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Thailand. This shift is all thanks to a "chance encounter" in 2009 that led to marriage with my Thai husband. I currently split my time between Bangkok (my main base) and Kuala Lumpur for family—documenting the unique blend of a Malaysian life lived abroad.
