A Life Between Two Countries, And All In Between

Thailand Gas Station Culture

I am used to self-serve at petrol stations in Malaysia, so it took me quite a while to adapt myself to the culture here.

But as D said, anything to create job opportunities for their humongous 67 million population. Hmmm … but most of the attendants are Burmese, I noticed?!

A reminder to pay up!

Without fail, gas station’s attendant will put an in-house advertising signage on our car hood, whilst they fill in our petrol tank. Advertising-aside, the reason is … do not drive off before paying,  or signing on credit card slip.

Perhaps there is a chance for creative media?

Not Your Typical Tourist

A passionate advocate for independent and solo travel, I traded life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Thailand. This shift is all thanks to a "chance encounter" in 2009 that led to marriage with my Thai husband. I currently split my time between Bangkok (my main base) and Kuala Lumpur for family—documenting the unique blend of a Malaysian life lived abroad.
