Mouthwatering Thai desserts at Chok Chai 4

Side-by-side congee and dessert yummies
เซ็งซิมอี้ (Cheng Sim Ei) is a local dessert place, next to our regular congee eatery at Chok  Chai 4. Click here if you missed my earlier post on เจ๊เกียง โจ๊กกองปราบ (Je Giang Jog Gong Brab).

Spoilt for choice
I had a sudden craving for Tab Tim Grob (ทับทิมกรอบ) in the middle of the night. Blame it on the mediocre bowl of Tab Tim Grob I had at Food Loft, Central Chidlom few days ago. Tab tim grob is a red rubies (made out of water chestnuts) on coconut milk dessert, one of my all-time favorite Thai dessert.

As I was already full from my congee supper, I ordered takeaway. Only 30 baht for a packful of crunchylicious happiness.

Crushed, crushy ice
Just realized that my takeaway came with a pack of crushed ice!

A passionate advocate for independent and solo travel, I traded life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Thailand. This shift is all thanks to a "chance encounter" in 2009 that led to marriage with my Thai husband. I currently split my time between Bangkok (my main base) and Kuala Lumpur for family—documenting the unique blend of a Malaysian life lived abroad.
